WCGHS Newsletters

Hello everyone,
The past month has been one for the WCGHS to relax and take time to prepare for the upcoming year. We had several investigations planned but they have been rescheduled. March has already been a busy month for us, and we anticipate the remainder will continue the same way.

In the month of February we had several investigations planned at private residences. For various reasons they have been rescheduled. The schedule for the month of March is as follows:
Saturday March 3- Chicago Union Boys and Girls Club
Saturday March 10 - Private residence in Frankfort,IL
Saturday March 17- Private residence in Chandlerville, IL
Saturday March 24- Private residence in Mendota, IL
Sunday March 25- WCGHS Meeting
March 31-Chicago Union Boys and Girls Club-Special Guest Ursula Bielski

The WCGHS acquired a 16 channel DVR system in the month of February. We have been talking about purchasing one of these for the past year and a half, but do to the expense of the system it was put on hold. Those who have met us and been out with us know that we like the best of everything, and do not like to cut corners. There were several things we were looking for in a DVR system, and we finally found the right one for us. We are able to record 16 different cameras simultaneously onto one central hard drive. Each camera records 60 frames per second, a water mark can be placed on each camera to help identify the location of the camera, as well as many other features. We currently have 4 cameras, but will be adding 12 more cameras over the next several months. The 4 cameras we do have are 1/3" Sony HAD CDD, the picture element is 510 (H) 492 (V). The sensing area is 4.9mm x 3.7 mm and runs on a NTSC signal. The white balance, electronic shutter, and the back light compensation are all automatics. The minimum illumination is 0 LUX IR LED ON. Each camera has 36 IR lights and can shoot in complete darkness up to 90 feet. While the DVR is up and running, it is far from being complete. We still need to purchase 12 more cameras, video baluns, a 16 channel power supply, hard camera cases, a DVR lock box, tripods, and at least one more box of CAT 5E or Cat 6 cable. If anyone can donate any of these items or any funds towards them it would be greatly appreciated. Donations can be made on our homepage www.aghostpage.com   We would like to thank all of those who have made donations already to the DVR system, your donations are greatly appreciated.
