Adobe® Audition™ 1.5 software is a professional audio editing environment. Designed for demanding audio and video professionals, Adobe Audition offers advanced audio mixing, editing, and effects processing capabilities. Its flexible workflow, combined with exceptional ease of use and precise tools, gives you the power to create rich, nuanced audio of the highest possible quality. Cool Edit was the software product by Syntrillium that was preferred standard for EVP. Abode Systems Incorporate purchased Cool Edit from Syntrillium and discontinued the Cool Edit 2000. An upgrade is available for Cool Edit 2000 and Cool Edit Pro owners that will take it to Adobe Audition quality. This program is the best, but it is also one of the most expensive at $300.     EVP Maker was developed by German Company Stefan Bion to generate phomenes for recording EVP.  This program is able to decompose a segment of recorded speech into a series of phonemes that contain all of the human frequencies and amplitude changes, but is not otherwise recognizable as distinct words.
