WILL COUNTY GHOST HUNTERS SOCIETY

My real name is Matt and am a 53 year old male in Ottawa Il, trying to rediscover the mysteries of the other side.  I have had a couple experiences with the paranormal when I was younger and once while in the military.  I'm not psychic in any way that I am aware of but some times I can feel when there is something nearby. Sadly this comes and goes. Recently I've been making purchases of camera and lighting equiptment, which I've been experimenting with in local cemetaries, a spirit box and voice recorder  as well as studying the different groups online and watching videos of ghost hunts. By the comments I read far to many people see the ghost hunts online as a great adventure which it can be but most don't know how mundane it can be also. the videos never show the activities that don't happen for hours on end.

I've read the blogs on here and I'm very impressed with the attitudes of the members and the approaches that are taken to investigations.  It is my belief If you don't know the history of a particular place how do you know what there is or the possibilities. Sometimes I see the paranormal to be like fishing. Lots of time waiting and maybe something happens Maybe it doesn't. Which doesn't lessen the importance nor the intrigue for those who are truly interested.

Also Photography is a prime interest mainly in landscape, night photography and macro. Reading is also a large part of me as well as music.
